Show a map of vacancies on your job board
Your enrola job board can show a map of your vacancies above its search. Each square marks a workplace and shows how many Opportunities are there, in the colour of their Opportunity type. The map also appears wherever you use the Website iFrame. Admins and Team Owners can switch it on.

Switch the map on
- Open Settings → Website iFrame.
- Under Layout, tick Show a map of the opportunities above the list, coloured by type.
The map appears on your job board straight away. Untick the box to remove it. It is off until you switch it on.
Note. Show maps on Opportunities, the option above it, is different. It adds a small Google map of the workplace to each vacancy's own page, loaded from Google Maps.
How job seekers use it
- Squares sit on each workplace and show how many Opportunities are there. A square with one Opportunity opens it. A square with several lists them below the map, so the job seeker can choose one.
- Colours match the Opportunity type. A square holding more than one type is dark grey.
- Type buttons above the map show each Opportunity type with its count, for example "Apprenticeship 10". Selecting a button hides or shows that type's squares.
- Search and the map work together. When a job seeker searches or filters the list, the map shows the same Opportunities.
Below the map, a line such as "12 of 12 opportunities mapped." says how many Opportunities could be placed.
Why an Opportunity isn't on the map
enrola places each Opportunity at the postcode in its Location panel. An Opportunity without a recognised postcode is counted but not drawn. To put it on the map, open the Opportunity and complete its address with Find address. See The Opportunity record.
The map draws up to 500 Opportunities. If a search finds more, the line below the map says only the first 500 are drawn.
Good to know
- enrola draws the map itself from Natural Earth data. Nothing loads from a map provider, so the map adds no third-party cookies or scripts to your job board.
- The map adapts to the space it has, so it works on phones and in narrow frames on your website.
- Opportunity type colours stay the same whichever types are showing.
