Coming soon: Google and Microsoft mail and calendar

Coming soon. This feature is planned and not yet in enrola. What you see when it arrives may differ from this description. We will update this article when it is released.

Today, emails you write in enrola are sent from enrola's address with your name on them. They don't appear in your Sent mail, and interviews and activities live only in enrola, so you copy them into your calendar by hand. The plan is to let each person connect their own Google or Microsoft 365 account.

What will change

Connect your own account

Each person will be able to connect their own Google account or Microsoft 365 account to enrola, from a Connected accounts page of their own. Your connection is personal: nobody else, including Admins and the enrola team, can see your mailbox, your calendar or your connection.

You will be able to pause mail or calendar, or disconnect, at any time. Disconnecting stops enrola using your account straight away.

Send emails from your own mailbox

When you write an email as an activity on an Application, Employer or Contact, you will be able to send it from your own mailbox. It will:

  • come from your own email address;
  • appear in your Sent mail, as any other email does;
  • show on the record which mailbox it was sent from.

You will still be able to send through enrola instead. People who don't connect an account carry on as today.

Activities and interviews on your calendar

With your calendar connected, calls, meetings and actions assigned to you will appear on your calendar on their due date, and interviews will be able to appear on calendars too.

Events will be kept private and hold as little as possible: no notes and no applicants' contact details. You will be able to choose not to add a particular activity or interview to your calendar.

Nothing you already have in enrola is added to your calendar when you connect. Only activities and interviews created after that are.

What stays the same

  • Status emails, interview invitations, requests and other automatic emails are still sent by enrola, as today.
  • The interview calendar inside enrola works as it does now.
  • If you don't connect an account, nothing changes for you.

What you might need to do

  • Your organisation's Team Owner will switch the feature on in Settings → Integrations.
  • Your organisation's Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administrator may need to approve enrola before staff can connect.

We will update this article with step-by-step instructions when it is released.
