Arrange fields on a record (the field grid)
Inside each panel on a record, enrola lays fields out on a grid. Fields run in reading order, left to right and then down, with the same space between each one. Each row is as tall as its tallest field. Admins and Team Owners choose the order of the fields, and the order applies to everyone in the organisation.
Note. This article is about the order of fields inside a panel. To choose which panels you see, and their order, see Show, hide and reorder panels on a record. That choice is personal.
Change the order of fields
- Go to Settings → Form fields.
- Choose the tab: Opportunities, Applications, Employers or Contacts.
- Select the panel. The Edit form layout page lists its fields in order.
- Move a field with its up and down arrows, or drag it by the handle on its left.
enrola saves the new order straight away. Records show it the next time they are opened.

What you can and can't change
- Order: yes, for every field, built-in or your own.
- Width: no. Each field keeps the width enrola gives it, so some fields sit side by side and some take a whole row.
- Fixed fields: a few fields always come first and show a lock and "Always first". For example, the applicant's details always lead the Summary panel on an Application.
- Fixed panels: a few panels can't be rearranged. Their Edit form layout page has no arrows or Add new form field button.
Where else you set field order
The same kind of list, with arrows and drag handles, sets the order in:
- application forms. See Build application forms.
- applicant profiles. See Choose what applicant profiles show.
