Sectors and categories
Sectors and categories describe what an Opportunity is about, such as "Digital" or "Care services". Staff choose them in the Opportunity info panel of each Opportunity. Some job boards need them for each advert, and your enrola job board lets applicants search by sector.
enrola keeps one list of sectors and one list of categories for everyone. The enrola team adds to these lists. Admins and Team Owners choose which ones their organisation uses.
Sectors
Settings → Sectors has two lists: Visible Sectors, which your team can choose from, and Hidden Sectors, which they can't.
- To hide a sector, select the arrow beside it in Visible Sectors.
- To show a sector, find it in Hidden Sectors (use Search if the list is long) and select the arrow beside it.
- To move every sector at once, select Move all visible sectors or Move all hidden sectors.
Each change saves straight away and applies to everyone in your organisation.
Hiding a sector stops staff choosing it from then on. Opportunities that already have it keep it.
On your enrola job board, applicants can search by your visible sectors that your Opportunities use.
Categories
Settings → Categories opens Integration info categories. These are the categories staff can add to an Opportunity for job boards, with Add categories in its Opportunity info panel.
- To stop staff using a category, select Hide beside it.
- To use it again, select Unhide.
Some categories contain smaller ones. Select a category's name to open it.
Good to know
- If you need a sector or category that isn't in the lists, contact support at support@enrola.co.uk.
