Post an Opportunity to job boards with Posting Control
The Posting Control panel on each Opportunity sends the vacancy to job boards and records every post in a log. Users, Admins and Team Owners can post. Read Only users can see the panel but not post.

Post to one or more job boards
- Open the Opportunity and scroll to Posting Control.
- Tick each job board you want. Select All ticks every board. enrola checks the Opportunity against each ticked board's rules. Any problems appear under the board, and the fields at fault are highlighted on the page.
- Correct the fields listed under each board. The list updates as you save.
- Select Post beside one board, or Post to selected to post to every ticked board.
A banner says Opportunity is posting to job boards while enrola sends the post. The page refreshes itself until the post finishes, then the result appears in the log.

Update or remove an advert
After a post succeeds, the board's buttons change:
- Update sends your latest changes to the board. Edits are not sent on their own: after you change a posted Opportunity, select Update.
- Delete asks the board to remove the advert.
A button only appears if that board supports it. When a board confirms it has removed the advert, enrola sets the Opportunity's status to Closed and moves it to Opportunities → Archived, even if it is still on other boards.
Important. Find an apprenticeship (shown as NAS in enrola) takes the first post only. Update and Delete don't change or close the vacancy there. Make those changes in your apprenticeship service account.
Cancel a post that is waiting
If a post is queued, or has been sending for more than 30 seconds, the banner shows Cancel. Select it to stop the waiting posts. Cancel doesn't remove an advert that a board has already accepted; use Delete for that.
The posting log
Below the boards, the log lists every post, newest first. Use the Status and Job board filters above it to narrow it down.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Date & time | When the post was made. |
| Job board | The board it went to. |
| User | Who posted it. System means enrola did it, for example when an Opportunity was filled. |
| Action | Create, Update, Delete or Close. |
| Status | The result (see below). |
| Reason | Why a post failed, in plain words, with a Details link. "Target number of learners met." marks a post closed because the Opportunity was filled. |
| URL | View opportunity opens the advert, where the board gives a link. |
| Changes | Show lists what has changed on the Opportunity since that post. |
Posting statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Processing | The post is queued or being sent. |
| Waiting | The board collects posts on its own schedule. Indeed, for example, picks up new posts within 24 hours. |
| Success | The board accepted the post. |
| Failed | The board refused the post, or enrola couldn't send it. |
| Error | Something went wrong at the board or in the connection. |
In the Status filter the same statuses appear as pending, processing, done, failed, error and waiting. done is Success.
If a post fails, see Why did a post fail? Reading the posting log.
The Opportunity's status
The Opportunities list shows one status for the whole Opportunity:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not posted | Not on any job board yet. |
| Posted | On at least one board. The Status filter calls this Posted to JB. |
| Error | The latest post to a board failed. |
| Closed, Filled, Archived | No longer live. See Duplicate, archive and restore an Opportunity. |
You can't post a Filled Opportunity to a job board.
Which job boards appear
Posting Control lists the job boards a Team Owner has made visible in Settings → Integrations. A Team Owner moves a board from Hidden Integrations to Visible Integrations to add it. See Settings → Integrations: what you can connect.
