Your Opportunities as an RSS feed
enrola publishes an RSS feed of your organisation's Opportunities. Websites, partners and feed readers can read it to list your vacancies, with a link to each one. The feed is public, so anyone with the address can read it.
Your feed's address
The address is made from your organisation's Slug:
https://app.enrola.co.uk/rss/opportunities/yourslug
Replace yourslug with the Slug in Settings → Organisation details. For example, an organisation whose slug is northbridge has the feed https://app.enrola.co.uk/rss/opportunities/northbridge.
To check it, open the address in your browser. You should see a list of items.
What the feed contains
The feed lists up to 100 of your Opportunities that have been posted to at least one job board, newest first. Each item has:
| Part | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Title | The Opportunity's title. |
| Link | The vacancy's page in enrola, where applicants select Apply now. |
| Description | The main description, as plain text without its lists and paragraphs. |
| Date | When the Opportunity was created. |
The feed doesn't include the employer, salary, location or closing date. If you need those, use the API.
Important. The feed includes any Opportunity that has been posted to a job board and not removed from it. It doesn't check the closing date, so an archived Opportunity can still appear in it. Ask whoever uses the feed to rely on the vacancy page, which says when applications close.
When to use it
| You want | Use |
|---|---|
| A simple list of vacancy titles and links in your own design | The RSS feed |
| A complete job board with search, dropped into a page | The Website iFrame. See Add your Opportunities to your own website. |
| Your own vacancy pages with all the details | The API. See Use enrola's API from your own systems. |
Good to know
- Changing your organisation's Slug changes the feed's address. Anyone using the old address must update it.
- Ask your web team to read the feed on a schedule and keep a copy, rather than fetching it for every visitor.
