Coming soon: a Deals board for employer work
Coming soon. This feature is planned and not yet in enrola. What you see when it arrives may differ from this description. We will update this article when it is released.
You often win business from an employer long before there is a vacancy to advertise. Today teams track that work with the "New deal" label, an employer status or a spreadsheet. A Deals board will give your organisation one place to see what is in play, with whom, at which stage and what it is worth.
What will change
Deals
A deal will be a piece of apprenticeship business you are working on with an employer. Each deal will have:
- a name;
- a stage;
- an owner from your team;
- an optional value;
- an optional description.
A deal will link to one or more Employers, and can also link to their Contacts and Opportunities. Choosing a contact or an Opportunity adds its employer for you.
A board and a list
A new Deals menu will open a board with one column per stage. Each column will show how many deals it holds and the total of their values. The page will also show your open pipeline and what you have won.
You will be able to move a deal to another stage by dragging its card, or with a stage menu on the card, which also works from the keyboard and on a phone. Each move is saved and recorded in the deal's history.
A list view will show the same deals as a table, with columns you can choose and sort.
Filters will let you narrow both views, for example to your own deals or to one employer.
Stages
Deals will move through a series of stages, ending in Won or Lost.
On the records you already use
Employer, Contact and Opportunity records will show the deals they belong to, with a button to add a deal that is already linked to them.
Each deal will have its own page with its details, the employers, contacts and Opportunities it links to, and a history of its stage, owner and value changes.
What stays the same
- Employers, Contacts, their labels and their workflow statuses work as they do today.
- Existing "New deal" labels and employer statuses are not turned into deals. You decide what to add.
- Deals are for your team only. Employers and applicants never see them.
What you might need to do
Nothing yet. If you track deals in a spreadsheet today, it may help to list the stages your team uses, ready for when the board arrives.
