Add and manage employer contacts
A Contact is a person at an employer, such as a hiring manager or an HR adviser. Each Contact belongs to one Employer. Users, Admins and Team Owners can add and change Contacts. Read Only users can view them.
Add a contact to an Employer
- Open the Employer record.
- In the Main contact details panel, select Add.
- Fill in First Name, Last Name and Email. These are required.
- Add anything else you have, such as Job Title, Telephone and Mobile.
- Select Add.
The first contact you add to an Employer becomes its main contact.
You can also add a contact from Employers → Contacts → Add. Choose the employer in the Employer box.
Choose the main contact

In Main contact details, select the round button beside the person who should be the main contact. enrola saves the change at once.
The main contact matters because enrola uses it in several places:
- The Main Contact column on the Employers list.
- Request more info, Request ELI and Send feedback survey on the Employer record go to the main contact. These buttons stay greyed out until there is one.
- Request more info on an Opportunity, and profiles you send in bulk, go to the main contact of the Opportunity's employer.
- Employer status emails sent in bulk go to each employer's main contact.
The Contact record
Select a contact's name to open their record. It has:
- Employer contact label: coloured labels. Admins manage the list in Settings → Labels.
- Contact details: Title, First Name, Last Name, Email, Job Title, Telephone, Mobile, Fax, the address lines, Town, County, Postcode, External ID, Employer, Assigned users and Status.
- Activities: the calls, emails, meetings and actions for this contact. See Record calls, emails, meetings and reminders as Activities.
To move a contact to a different employer, change the Employer box.
The Contacts list
Go to Employers → Contacts to see every contact in your organisation, with their Job Title, Employer, Telephone, Email, Assigned to, External ID and Status.

- Search by name or email in Search contacts.
- Use Filters to narrow the list by Employer, Assigned to, Labels or Workflow status. See Search a list and use the filter bar.
- Tick contacts, then use With selected... to change their Status or Change labels.
- Select Export to CSV to download them. See Export a list to CSV and choose its columns.
Important. On the Contacts list, Select all selects every contact in your organisation, even when you have searched or filtered the list. To change a group of contacts, tick them one by one instead, especially before you choose a status that sends an email.
Delete a contact
- Select Delete beside the contact, in the Main contact details panel or on the Contacts list.
- enrola asks: "Are you sure you want to delete" followed by the contact's name.
- Select Delete.
Warning. Deleting a contact also deletes every activity recorded against them, including open ones. If the contact has open activities, enrola asks you to choose another contact under Migrate activities to contact, but the activities are not kept. Before you delete a contact, open each of their open activities and change its Contact Name.
If you delete the main contact, the employer has no main contact until you choose another one.
