Coming soon: a clearer Employer and Contact page
Coming soon. This feature is planned and not yet in enrola. What you see when it arrives may differ from this description. We will update this article when it is released.
Today an Employer record is one long column of panels, and the story of a relationship is split between the Activities panel, the Activities list and emails that never reach the record. The redesign gives each Employer and Contact a clear summary and one place to see everything that has happened.
What will change
A summary at the top of each Employer
The top of the Employer record will show, at a glance:
- the logo, name, status and labels;
- levy status, and the town and postcode of the head office;
- the people who look after the employer (today's Assigned Supervisors);
- the primary contact, with their phone number and email.
Buttons beside it will let you call or email the primary contact, log an activity, open the employer's website, and send Request more info, Request ELI or Send feedback survey from one menu.
A contents list beside the panels
On a wide screen, a list down the side will show the record's panels, with counts such as the number of contacts, Opportunities and open activities. Select an entry to jump to that panel. On a phone, the list becomes a strip under the summary.
One timeline
A single timeline will show, newest first:
- notes, calls, meetings and emails;
- changes to the record, such as a new status or a new primary contact.
Open activities will sit above the timeline, overdue ones first, so you can complete or edit them there. You will be able to filter the timeline, for example to show only calls. The employer's timeline will include its contacts' activities, labelled with each contact's name. The Employers → Activities list stays as your team's to-do list.
Primary contact and locations
- Main contact will be called Primary contact everywhere.
- Employers will be able to have a head office and other named sites, listed in a new Locations panel.
A new Contact page
On a wide screen, the Contact record will show the contact's details on the left, their timeline in the middle, and related records on the right: their employer, other contacts there, the employer's live Opportunities, upcoming activities and interviews they run. On smaller screens these sections stack one above the other.
Lists and saving
- The Contacts list will get Edit columns and a better search across name, email, job title and employer.
- Each panel will show whether your change has been saved. If a colleague changed the same field after you opened the page, enrola will tell you instead of overwriting their change.
- Read Only users will see everything, without the buttons that change records.
Fixes planned along the way
- Activity reminders will go to the person the activity is assigned to.
- Select all on the Contacts list will follow your search and filters.
What stays the same
- Your data, custom fields, custom panels and panel order carry over unchanged.
- Employer and Contact pages keep their web addresses, so bookmarks and links in emails still work.
- Request more info, Request ELI and the feedback survey work as they do today.
What you might need to do
Nothing. Your Employers and Contacts move to the new pages as they are.
