Search a list and use the filter bar

Every list in enrola has a search box. The Opportunities, Applications, Employers and Contacts lists also have a Filters button, so you can narrow the list by status, labels, dates, location and more. Everyone can search and filter.

Opening the filter panel on the Applications list, adding a Status filter, and removing its chip.

Search a list

Type in the search box and select Search. When you search, the best matches come first.

List What the search box looks in
Opportunities Opportunity title
Applications Applicant, opportunity or employer
Employers Employer name or email
Contacts Contact name or email
Learners Name, email, reference, ULN or employer

The Learners list has a search box only, with no filters.

Add a filter

  1. Select Filters. The filter panel opens.

  2. Under Add a filter, select the filter you want, for example Status. If the list has more than eight filters, type in Find a filter to find it quickly.

The filter appears under Applied filters.

  3. Choose what to match:

    • Match is Is or Is not for most filters.
    • Text filters, such as Industry, also offer Is exactly, Contains and Does not contain.
  4. Choose or type the value.

  5. Select Apply filters.

The list updates. Above it, Filtered by shows a chip for each filter in plain words, for example "Status is Interview". The Filters button shows how many filters are applied.

Combine filters

  • Different filters must all match. For example, Status is Interview and Labels is Priority shows only applicants who are at Interview and have the Priority label.
  • Within one filter, select Add another to add a second rule. A record matches if it meets any of the rules. For example, "Status is Interview or is Offer Letter sent".

Remove filters

  • Select the × on a chip to remove that filter.
  • Select Clear all to remove every filter.
  • In the filter panel, select Remove beside a filter, or the × beside one rule.
  • Saved searches → Reset search clears your search words and filters. On the Learners list it is under Search options.

Press Esc to close the filter panel.

Good to know

  • Filters stay in the page's web address, so you can bookmark a filtered list or send the link to a colleague.
  • To keep a search and come back to it, save it. See Save a search and share it with your team.
  • If the panel says "Your admins have hidden every filter for this list in Settings → Search filters.", ask an Admin to show the filters you need.
  • If a filter shows This value is not valid., enrola couldn't use the value, and the list is not filtered by it. Check the value and select Apply filters again.
  • Select all selects every record that matches your search and filters, up to 10,000. Records you ticked earlier stay ticked when you change the filters, so check the count before you use With selected.... See Act on several Applications at once.
  • On the Contacts list, Select all currently ignores the search and filters and selects every contact. See Add and manage employer contacts.
