See BKSB, Selectahead and My Skills Forward results
If your organisation uses BKSB, Selectahead or My Skills Forward for initial assessments, enrola can bring the results onto the Application. They appear in the Initial assessment details panel. You need the User role or above to retrieve results.
A Team Owner connects each service in Settings → Integrations. See BKSB, Selectahead and My Skills Forward.
The Initial assessment details panel
The panel holds:
- Username: the applicant's username in your assessment service, with a Retrieve data button beside it.
- A results table with Course name, Level, Date Achieved, Score and Comment.
- Add course result, to add a row yourself.
- Assessment Date, Attended Assessment, Assessment Interview Score and Initial Assessment Interview Notes, for your own records.
If you can't see the panel, add it with Edit page layout.
BKSB results arrive by themselves
When your organisation is connected to BKSB, enrola looks for each new applicant in BKSB using their email address. If it finds them, it fills in Username and adds their initial assessment results:
- Course name: the BKSB subject.
- Level: from pre-entry up to level 2, worked out from BKSB's score.
- Score: BKSB's score.
- Comment: the name of the assessment.
- Date Achieved: when they took it.
Only initial assessments are brought in. If the applicant used a different email address in BKSB, enter their BKSB username and use Retrieve data.
Retrieve results by username
- Open the Application and go to Initial assessment details.
- Type the applicant's username in Username.
- Select Retrieve data.
enrola saves the panel, then fetches results from each service your organisation has connected. A message tells you how it went, for example "BKSB data has been loaded successfully." or "Selectahead data has been loaded successfully."
What each service adds:

| Selectahead | One row per test with its percentage score, then a row per category with its score out of the maximum and the outcome as the comment. |
| My Skills Forward | One row per assessment taken. |
Important. Retrieving results replaces the rows in the table, including rows you added yourself. If your organisation connects more than one service, each one's results replace the one before, so the table ends up with the last service's results.
Messages you may see

| "BKSB Username was not found." | Check the username with the applicant or in BKSB. |
| "Your Selectahead credentials are invalid." | Ask your Team Owner to check the details in Settings → Integrations. |
| "Your organisation needs to have valid at least one of "BKSB", "Selectahead" or "My Skills Forward" credentials." | Your organisation isn't connected to any of them. Ask your Team Owner. |
| "There was an error during the request." | Try again later. If it keeps happening, contact support at support@enrola.co.uk. |
Good to know
- Admins can show the results on applicant profiles, as an "Initial assessment results" table. See Choose what applicant profiles show.
- Results are not copied when you create a Learner record. See Turn an Application into a Learner record.
