Find your way around enrola

This article shows you the parts of enrola you use every day: the header, the lists and the record pages.

The header

The enrola header: the organisation name on the left, then the Opportunities, Applications, Learners, Employers and Settings menus, and the dark mode button and user menu on the right.

From left to right, the header has:

  • Your organisation's name. If your account belongs to more than one organisation, select it to switch. See Switch between organisations.
  • Opportunities, with Live and Archived lists.
  • Applications, with Live and Archived lists.
  • Learners.
  • Employers, with Employers, Contacts and Activities.
  • Settings, for Admins and Team Owners. See Find your way around Settings.
  • Dark mode, the moon button. See Switch enrola to dark mode.
  • Your first name, which opens Edit user (your own details and password) and Log out.

The current menu is underlined in your organisation's colour. Your organisation may use different names for the main menus, because the enrola team can rename them for you.

Under the header, a strip shows the path to the page you are on, such as Settings / Users / Hannah Price. Select any part of the path to go back to it.

On a wide screen, the header and the path stay at the top as you scroll.

Lists

Opportunities, Applications, Learners, Employers and Contacts each have a list.

The live Applications list with the search box, Filters and Saved searches above the table.

In a list you can:

Select a name in the list to open its record.

Record pages

Each Opportunity, Application, Employer and Learner has its own page.

An Application record: the applicant's name and buttons at the top, labels, and panels of fields below.

  • The top shows the record's name and its main actions. On an Application, for example, these include Profile, Export PDF, Request more info and Create Learner record.
  • Labels sit below the name. See Coloured labels.
  • Panels hold the fields, grouped by subject, such as Personal information or Contact information. Select the small − beside a panel's title to fold it away, and + to open it again. enrola remembers this for you.
  • Edit page layout lets you choose which panels you see and in what order. See Show, hide and reorder panels on a record.

Saving

enrola saves your changes as you type or move to the next field. There is no Save button on record panels. The strip under the header shows "Saving..." and then "All changes saved."

If a change can't be saved, enrola shows an alert at the top of the page that says why. When the problem is in a field, the alert links to it. The alert stays until you fix the problem or close it.

If you try to leave a record that still has required fields empty, enrola asks: "This record has mandatory information that hasn't been completed. Are you sure you want to leave?"

What you can do depends on your role

Your role decides what you can change. For example, Read Only users can open records but not change them, and only Admins and Team Owners see Settings. See Permission groups: what each group can see and change.
